There’s a fine line between helping a person out and letting them pimp you like a 5 dollar trick.

With that said, I don’t know this person yet I feel like you should buy her art. She mixes beautiful photography with humour. Can you go wrong with a shot of flowers with “Look at this dramatic depth of field, bitches” overlaid or a shot of limes with “These are some wistful looking limes”? I think not.

Photo

17 Things Worth Knowing About Your Cat - The Oatmeal -

17 Things Worth Knowing About Your Cat - The Oatmeal -

Afghanistan, November, 2009 - The Big Picture - Boston.com

Afghanistan, November, 2009 - The Big Picture - Boston.com

Why do we eat turkey for Thanksgiving and Christmas? - By Michelle Tsai - Slate Magazine

Why do we eat turkey for Thanksgiving and Christmas? - By Michelle Tsai - Slate Magazine

Abstinence-only rappers sing about the "Christian Side Hug" - Boing Boing

Abstinence-only rappers sing about the "Christian Side Hug" - Boing Boing

Wikileaks publishes massive archive of private 9/11 pager messages - Boing Boing

Wikileaks publishes massive archive of private 9/11 pager messages - Boing Boing

Per Capita Wine Consumption Chart – Neatorama

Per Capita Wine Consumption Chart – Neatorama

Google Chrome OS. Or, how KDE and GNOME managed to shoot each other dead

Google Chrome OS. Or, how KDE and GNOME managed to shoot each other dead:
Articles like this often make me laugh just because the person writing them doesn’t seem to understand that new technology that will apparently take place of something tried and true doesn’t always appeal to everyone.

Saying goodbye to the traditional Linux desktop as we know it just because Google released the source code to Chrome OS is a bit presumptuous. I work as a developer as many others do. What’s one thing as a developer that doesn’t appeal to me? Strictly web based operating systems.

Here’s a short list of things that I need that an operating system like Chrome OS will not contain:

compilers

interpreters

IDE’s

debugging tools

benchmarking tools

So when Chrome OS comes to fruition in 2089, will this mean the end of KDE and GNOME? This is just a wild guess here… no.

The Muppets - Bohemian Rhapsody

I don’t really need to pretend, because it’s who I am, an emotional vampire. I’ve just come to expect it. Vampires are real. That I was born this way. That I feed off of other people’s real emotions.
